The Dominican Healer
Hi, I’m Ash, (She/They) a third-generation psychic and healer rooted in Lenape Land (The Bronx), currently living in Southern Paiute Land (Las Vegas). As a multi-racial Kiskeyane (Dominican), I’m deeply dedicated to embracing my cultural roots and honoring the spiritual practices of my ancestors. My work uplifts activists, radicals, and changemakers who seek to dismantle oppressive systems and embody the liberation they seek.
Through tarot, soul, and astrology readings, I guide people to rediscover their power, release shame, and step fully into their purpose. My approach weaves ancestral wisdom, cosmic insights, and intuitive guidance to create profound healing experiences.
My ultimate dream is to inspire and empower others while traveling the world and sharing the lessons from my journey. With a Taurus rising and a grand water trine in my chart, I bring emotional depth, intuitive clarity, and grounded practicality, creating a nurturing and transformative space for healing.
Thank you for trusting me to walk this path with you. Bendiciones y luz—let’s create magic together.
My Lineage and Teachers
I am a third-generation healer and psychic with roots that run deep. My mother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandfather were all gifted. My great-great-grandfather served as a trusted healer, and my great-grandmother, though deeply Catholic, was a seer who performed prayers and rituals. Dominican spirituality, especially during Trujillo’s dictatorship, often required secrecy for practices outside Catholicism.
On my father’s side, my father, a Pentecostal pastor and gifted healer, uses the laying of hands, a practice similar to Reiki.
My own spiritual journey began in college, guided by a two-spirited friend who introduced me to witchcraft and spirituality as tools for empowerment, healing, and grounding.
In addition to my ancestral teachers, I’ve pursued formal training: Reiki 1 and 2 under Debbie Veach (Las Vegas, NV, in 2019) farming and herbalism under Tim Stanley (Fishkill, NY 2014-2018), and astrology with Kenny Rivera (2021). I am also a practitioner of the 21 Divisions, learning from a Priest in New York.
These teachings continually enrich my practice, allowing me to offer meaningful guidance and healing to those I serve.
My Story
I’ve been practicing tarot and connecting with my spirit guides since 2014 after leaving an abusive relationship, and I began offering services professionally in 2019. Magic Touch Botánica was born in 2020, but my connection to spirituality began long before then. As a child, I was captivated by spirituality and religion, learned about Dominican spiritual traditions from my mother, and even had eerie experiences with ghosts.
My academic journey began at DePauw University, where I studied Women’s Studies, Religion, and Psychology. Currently, I’m completing my BA in Psychology online. Over the past decade, I’ve taught middle and high school students and adults, covering topics like feminism, empowerment, leadership, herbalism, and even wilderness survival. I often say I’ve lived 20 lives in my 32 years.
Teaching is one of my greatest passions, and I’m a certified spiritual coach and Reiki practitioner. Though Reiki opened the door to ancestral energy healing, it’s no longer part of my practice. In recent years, I’ve also been studying astrology, which has become a powerful tool for spiritual connection.
Through my gifts, experiences, and education, I aim to empower others to live fully, freely, and authentically. As a BIPOC, I know the path to healing isn’t easy, but I believe that by embracing our individual healing and unlearning, we pave the way for collective liberation and freedom.
